IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

FUTURE OF OUR CLUB

Our bowling club is at the crossroads so to speak and now more importantly than ever before it needs the support and commitment from it’s members.

How can you help, you may ask? – That’s an easy one. All you have to do is support all the social events that are to be run at the club. You can also volunteer some of your time so that volunteer hours are shared around amongst all the membership and not just the loyal few that put their hands up every time.

Ladies Tuesday Pennants - 11th February

Scenario - Two ends to go - aggregate down by five points

• One team has completed their 21 ends and won their rink - we have one point
• The second team finishes their last end, with a loss but gained 3 points on that last end - the aggregate now down by two points

Now comes the good part -

We have been playing around for some time now to find a way to get the draws on the website.  We think we have found a way that looks reasonably presentable.  Check out the side menu bar "Championship Draw"

Please inform your friends, neighbours and work colleagues that our Jack Hi Bowls (formerly Smackajack) will be held at the Club on Monday 10th & 17th March.  A flier is attached with registration details or REGISTER ON LINE at the "Social Events" tab

Congratulations to Mixed Pairs Champions 2014 -Yvonne Colquhoun and Mike Revitt.  Runners-up Barbara Hadley and Harry Newman.

Congratulation also to all who participated in the event.  Those that have 'taken home the silverware' know that they have had to play very well to get past some highly fancied teams.

Our beloved Angela Booth passed away on Monday February 3rd, 2014

The funeral will take place at 2.00pm on Monday February 10th at Fremantle Cemetery.  There will be a “Guard of Honour” formed by  members who wish to participate.  Please wear Club Uniforms if attending.

Arrive at 6:00 pm – Free Sausage sizzle at 6.30 pm – Bowls start at 7:00 pm

Tuition and Guidance: Free bowls tuition will be available between 5.30 and 6.30 on each playing evening

WEDNESDAY 12^th FEBRUARY 2014

12:30 PM  FOR 1:00PM START.

The annual grudge match is on again.  The banter has already started.  As put to me by one of their number when we were discussing the prospects of a yet to be decided club nickname - 'I know,' he says, 'the Mighty Mount Pleasant Pheasants versus the Fearsome Firefighting Pheasant Pluckers.'  Yeah that'd be right!.  It's a fun day and you are all invited.  We hope to field at least 30 Mount Pleasant bowlers.  An entry sheet is on the notice board.  Put your name down and join in the fun.
