Election pledges

The WA Labor Government has announced it will commit $9000 towards a green-side shade structure at Mt Pleasant Bowling Club should Labor win the State election.

The announcement by local member Kim Giddens came after the WA Liberals announced a $500,000 commitment to construct an all-weather cover over the club’s greens.

Nitin Vashisht, the Liberal candidate for Bateman, said the project wasn’t just about improving infrastructure, it was about creating a safer, more inclusive space for everyone.

In 2021, Kim Giddens was instrumental in securing $100,000 in funding which contributed greatly to the recent major refurbishments at the club.

The club is not endorsing any political party but simply providing information to our members.
