Congratulations to our two teams for a great win in the play off for the 1^st Division Blue Pennant Flag on Saturday. 

The teams: 

Linda Davis, Colette Smith, (Sharon Stuttard pm game) Judy Rankin and Del Blakeway;

Yvonne Colquhoun, (Jana Fuller) Tanya Perica, Trudy Griffin and Dee Maras

In the morning game Mt Pleasant played Morley with both of our teams having good wins.   In the other game, Willetton defeated Rockingham which meant the Final was to be played between Mt Pleasant and Willetton.

Linda had a commitment in the afternoon so there needed to be a slight team change for the 2^nd game.  Colette skipped, Sharon played third and Judy and Del remained in their positions.  Yvonne’s team was unchanged.  Jana had played all season, but due to recent surgery was unable to play on Saturday, but she did come and cheer us on, thanks Jana.   

Both games were hard fought with a nail biting finish!  Colette’s team won by 4, but Yvonne was down, so the pressure was on.  We needed 3 to win the aggregate on the last end and that’s just what they did.  Fantastic bowls and a great effort by all players. 

Bowls WA presented the flag and badges and then the celebrations began!

Thanks to all of our players and particular thanks to our spectators for supporting the teams throughout the day.  Special thanks to Sharon for stepping in, our understudies, Sandra Macdonald and Kelly Bezant and to Betty Dykes and Robyn Terrell for setting up and providing the welcome morning tea for our visitors.  Thanks to our President Steve and other club members for providing celebratory drinks for the Champions!
