The Club has an active social calendar, open to all members and their guests. Friday night is popular with lots on offer, including the lucky member draw, raffles, meals, music and an extended happy hour from 5-6.30pm. Bowl, play snooker or just enjoy the atmosphere. Special events are held throughout  the year.

Events

Friday night food – Get a fantastic meal at the club every Friday night. The menus offer a range of food including butter chicken with basmati rice, barramundi with chips and salad, and steak and salad. The happy hour starts after 5pm, there’s music, raffles and Chase the Ace.

Great social deals – A social membership at the club is now just $17.50 and valid until August 31. Social members get the opportunity to enjoy the facilities of the club, attend social functions and learn to play bowls. A social bowling membership costs just $50 until August 31 and allows members to enjoy all of the above, plus take part in social and winter bowling competitions.

Saturday sundowner – Celebrate the end of the pennants season at a relaxing sundowner at the club on Saturday, March 16, from 6pm to 9pm. It costs just $5, which includes live music and great prices at the bar. BYO nibblies or order takeaway. Everyone is welcome.

General meeting – The half-yearly general meeting will be held in the clubrooms on Saturday, April 20, commencing at 10am. Nomination and notice of motion forms will be placed on the Admin noticeboard located in the club’s foyer. Please ensure you place your completed forms in the ballot box. Nominations for the men’s and ladies’ match and bowls committees close on Saturday, March 23, at 5pm.

Sausage sizzle – Club members will be manning the barbecue at Bunnings Melville on Sunday, March 3. Contact Coralie on 0487 220 977 for all the details.

Free hearing tests – Free hearing tests will be available at the club on Monday, March 25, as part of the Hearing to the Nation Tour 2024. Ten appointments are available at 15-minute intervals, starting at 9.30am. Put your name on the sheet on the club noticeboard. A second day may be booked depending on the response.

Monday workers – Willing workers are needed on Monday morning to help with a variety of jobs around the clubhouse. There’s some signs that need installed, brick paving that needs repaired, windows to be cleaned etc. Or there’s plenty of work in the garden if you are more a green thumb than a handyman. The work begins from 8.30am.

Lamb tasting – Congratulations to all the volunteers who attended the lamb tasting at the club on Wednesday, February 7. Your eating efforts earned the club $1000.

Ladies’ fashion parade – The club held a fun-filled event at the Ladies’ Fashion Parade presented by Kimbo’s Fashion on Monday, January 15. The $15 cost included afternoon tea and all purchases made on the day attracted a 10 per cent discount.

Ham raffles – It’s the perfect time to win a ham, so why not buy a raffle ticket at the club. Every time a book of 60 is sold, three winners are drawn. Tickets are just $2 and you can get them at the bar. Remember to write down your name and phone number so we can contact you if you are a winner.
