The Club has an active social calendar, open to all members and their guests. Friday night is popular with lots on offer, including the lucky member draw, raffles, meals, music and an extended happy hour from 5-6.30pm. Bowl, play snooker or just enjoy the atmosphere. Special events are held throughout  the year.

Events

Wine tasting – Grab your friends and come along to the club on Friday, July 26, for a fun night of wine, food and entertainment. Between 5pm and 7pm the team at Rascal’s Corner, in the Geographe wine region, will deliver a selection of great wines to taste, and there will be complimentary nibblies between 5pm and 6pm. Stay for dinner and enjoy a great meal from Bridget’s menu. Wine purchased on the night puts you in the draw to win one of three glamorous gift packs. Sunday social bowls – The club will be open this Sunday, July 28, from 3pm for a free afternoon of social bowls. Bring your family and bring your friends. The bar is open and the footy will be on. BYO snacks.

Symphony show – South Side Symphony Orchestra presents a Symphony at the Green at the club on Wednesday, August 21. The performance will include music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Elmer Bernstein, Edward Elgar and a host of others. It starts at 7.30pm and the bar will be open from 6.30pm. Tickets from the bar are $18 for adults and $10 children 6-16. Click here for all the details.

Annual general meeting – Mt Pleasant Bowling Club is holding its annual general meeting on Saturday, August 31 from 9.30am.

Bingo at your bowls club – Our popular Bingo night has now moved to Tuesday nights. Doors open at 5.30pm and you can enjoy a drink and buy your books before it’s eyes down at 7pm. Please get behind this new venture and support your club.

Friday night food – Enjoy a delicious meal at the club this Friday, with kids’ meals $10, which come with a free ice-cream. Happy hour starts after 5pm and there’s Chase the Ace, raffles and the lucky member’s draw.

Club champions – Gail Worley and John Mueller were named the club’s champion ladies and men’s bowlers at the annual presentation of trophies and awards on Saturday night, April 27. The night celebrated all the club’s championship winners plus all the teams that competed in the pennants season with great success.

Great social deals – A social membership at the club is now just $17.50 and valid until August 31. Social members get the opportunity to enjoy the facilities of the club, attend social functions and learn to play bowls. A social bowling membership costs just $50 until August 31 and allows members to enjoy all of the above, plus take part in social and winter bowling competitions.

Monday workers – Willing workers are needed on Monday morning to help with a variety of jobs around the clubhouse. There’s some signs that need installed, brick paving that needs repaired, windows to be cleaned etc. Or there’s plenty of work in the garden if you are more a green thumb than a handyman. The work begins from 8.30am.

Lamb tasting – Congratulations to all the volunteers who attended the lamb tasting at the club on Wednesday, February 7. Your eating efforts earned the club $1000.

Ladies’ fashion parade – The club held a fun-filled event at the Ladies’ Fashion Parade presented by Kimbo’s Fashion on Monday, January 15. The $15 cost included afternoon tea and all purchases made on the day attracted a 10 per cent discount.

Ham raffles – It’s the perfect time to win a ham, so why not buy a raffle ticket at the club. Every time a book of 60 is sold, three winners are drawn. Tickets are just $2 and you can get them at the bar. Remember to write down your name and phone number so we can contact you if you are a winner.
