Bowls/Pennants

Club Renovations

The club is undergoing a program of renovations, including a new entry foyer with improved access, a new universal access toilet and ambulant toilets and a new folding wall to divide the hall area. Work has been progressing well since it began on Monday, April 24. All asbestos removal is expected to be complete by Wednesday, May 10. We will continue to keep you posted of future developments.

Tuesday popstick draws happen all year round every Tuesday, 12.30pm for a 1pm start.

Wednesday scroungers are a great way for all members of the club to improve their bowls in a fun and social setting. Be there by 3pm for a 3.30pm start.

Thursday and Saturday bankers are played all year round, 12.30pm for a 1pm start.

Dress:  Mufti for all popstick, scroungers, bankers and winter games.  Club uniform for pennant and championship games.

Ladies’ Pennants

The ladies play pennants on Tuesday mornings and on Saturday afternoons. Pennants are played from October through to March.

Saturday grand final – The ladies’ division two lemon team brought home another pennant on Saturday, April 1. Playing at home, the team had a strong victory over Cockburn and also won promotion to division one.

Tuesday grand finals – Our ladies’ 2nd Division bowls team had a wonderful victory on Wednesday, March 15, to win the pennant grand final. It was a thrilling match against Yokine at Cambridge Bowling Club. The 3rd Division team was desperately unlucky to be beaten by Joondalup by just two points. They should be proud of the way they fought back and for winning promotion to the second division next season. Well done to all who played and to everyone who came along to the semi-finals and grand finals to support the teams.
