Skin cancer checks

Fremantle Skin Cancer Clinic, one of our great new sponsors, is offering members an education session and the opportunity to book a free skin check. This will also include the treatment (freezing) of any small cancers found. The clinic will be at the club this Tuesday, December 5, from 2pm. It is a great opportunity to check that all is well with your skin.

Ladies’ gala day

Thirty teams from around the metropolitan area enjoyed a great gala day at the club on Friday, December 1. As well as two rounds of bowls, the entrants had morning tea, lunch and afternoon nibblies provided by club members. There were various raffles, including a wine raffle, and lucky numbers  to be won. Well done to everyone involved and to the day’s winners, Leeming. And thanks to our great sponsors, Mode Realty.

Star bowlers

Congratulations to our club members who have taken out some of our early championship events.

Lisa, Mary and Cathy combined to take out the ladies’ triples, while Margaret, Brian, Dee and Trevor were the winners of the mixed fours. Well done to all players.

Fours championships

The men’s and ladies’ fours championships scheduled for Sunday, December 3 and 10 have now been postponed until January. The entry sheet is on the noticeboard.

State bowlers

Congratulations to Lisa Brannan, Kaye Blackwell and Donna Blackwell, who represented WA in the national championships held at Joondalup and Sorrento in October.
